What on earth are carrots?

The SEU Hub is built around carrots. Instead of giving posts and comments empty likes, in the SEU Hub you give great content and hilare comments carrots. And the carrot is a clever little vegetable, as every carrot given represents a micro-donation (around 10p) to charity. To get started you have 100 carrots into your carrot store which can immediately be used to show your appreciation for great posts and comments.

Each product in the Shop and every ad that is placed in the Marketplace has a certain amount of carrots assigned to it. So if you choose to buy something or place an ad, then in recognition of your donation (which is contained within that purchase) you will be rewarded with carrots that will be added to your carrot store. As you then give more carrots away, so your carrot store is depleted. If you ever get to the stage where you have no carrots left, then you can easily make a small donation (e.g. £5) and receive a load more carrots (in this case, for £5 you’d get 500 carrots).

And so, as you can see, the more activity there is on the Hub, and the more SEU Hubbers we can get involved, then the more we can all raise for charity, whilst also feeling pretty darned good about giving good people and their horses lots of nice carrots! The top box you’ll see in the SEU Carrot Counter displays the global number of carrots that we have all donated – we can’t wait for that to hit 1,000,000 carrots!
